VE6CQM was the second repeater to be built using the production MapleDSP HAT platform. It uses a pair of TK941 radios, the Rx radio had to be modified with new front end filters, and software was installed that defeated the built-in timeout.

The repeater is practically identical to VE6NHM, but has a later version of the interface board with audio buffering, and a fan was added by Wally, VE6BGL, using an off the shelf temperature controller and a 12V DC fan. It may be advisable to use a larger heatsink on the transmit radio if one can be found.

We are currently experimenting with linking the two together, using the USRP protocol as is used in AllstarLink. More on that under a separate heading…
