The MapleDroid is a re-spin of MaplePi for the Odroid platform, due to the unavailability of the Raspberry Pi. FPGA has been replaced by an Effinix Trion part instead and a second audio port was added, for simultaneous control of analog and digital systems.
It differs from is predecessor as the Odroid only has a single SPI interface, and it requires its own 12v power supply, which can be supplied by the 8-pin connectors or the dedicated power jack. The FPGA ecosystem has been reworked, and a new driver is also required. This project is still in development, as so far I have not ported the allstar repeater application to the Odroid, but I have been successful in getting Asterisk compiled and working on that platform.
All the functionality of the MaplePi and its TopHAT concept boards has been carried over, including the interface boards. As the new FPGA does not include an A/D converter, it is now recommended that the PUTSI board be used for this instead. The previous EcoSystem has been preserved, and new modules are in development.
New features that are being considered for inclusion are:
- CTCSS Encoder/Decoder
- MMVDM modem (C4FM modulator/demodulator)
- FSK Modem for AX.25
- NOAA SAME message decoder (from the PiWxRx Project)

This device will be available in Q2 of 2024.
