The second phase of the repeater project has currently been deployed on VE6CQM in High River.

VE6CQM on the bench

The repeater is practically identical to VE6NHM, but has a later version of the interface board with audio buffering, and a fan was added by Wally, VE6BGL, using an off the shelf temperature controller and a 12V DC fan. It may be advisable to use a larger heatsink on the transmit radio if one can be found.

The Pi Software was upgraded to AllstarLink V2.0.0 Beta 6, and a driver was written to support the Maple DSP Pi HAT hardware. The basic control is still carried out by the FPGA, with all DTMF processing handled by the Allstar code. In addition, a second driver for linking has been added which provides a programmable link, based on the node number, to a linking hub that supports the USRP protocol.
